What do you think is the best reading material?
Personally, I love books. Magazines, comics, newspapers, and other things just don't catch my attention. As far as books go, I like fantasy and fiction the best. One of my absolute favorite books is The Book Thief, by Marcus Zusak (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book_Thief). It follows a young girl in Germany during World War II, sure, sounds fine, but here the odd thing, it's told from deaths perspective. Not a human, not a narrator, death. I really think everyone should read this book, it's a little slow at the start, but then you can't put the book down! What do you like to read? Any books, comics, magazines or something else you just love?

Homework?
For most students, homework is a big part of their life. Personally, I disagree with it. For me, it's not helpful, just time consuming. I spend my entire day at school, only to come home and do more work. Without a teacher, you typically dont learn new concepts, simply practice what you already know. If I need to undersatand a concept better, I study on my own. It's the student's responsability to get extra practice when they need it so having the extra work just limits the time one can spen working on concepts they actually need to study. It's really a way to get kids who aren't responsible for themselves getting practice to practice. What do you think? Does it help you?

Texting! Good or Bad?
Texting now day is big. It's one of the most common ways we communicate. I actually text quite a bit. It's convenient and doesn't get in other peoples way, like talking on the phone. I do dislike how without veerbalizing ceratin things, they can have a different meaning, or come off as rude or mean when they weren't intended to be. My mom, on the opther hand, hates texting. Shes always talking on the phone, which irritates me because I can't talk to her, listen to music, or visit with anyone else. I think talking on the phone is much more disruptive. A lot of people go overboard, to the point they hardly talk to the people they are with at the time. Anything can be too much though, so as long as you don't take texting too far, I think it's a good thing. What do you think? Do you text?

Where would you like to live, the city, or somewhere small?
Well, I have mixed feeling about this. Ive spent my whole live in a small town, and I love it here! However, I love the city. I think I'll end up in a big city, but I'm glad I've grown up in my town. Here, its pretty, and has given me a real appreciation for nature, a love for sports, and good, non-superficial values. Also, in cities I love the energy, the live music, the closeness, the diversity, and the life. Everything is just around the corner, and there's always something new to see or do. I'm fascinated by new things and need constant change, so for me, a city would be more entertaining. What do you like? Where do you want to live?

Bottled water?
I've always had my opinions about bottled water. I have nothing against tap. I always live in a mountain community, so our tap was great! Every several years in the summer it gets a little chlorine-ey and throws off the taste, but its not bad. However, my parents spit up, and my dad moved to a bigger city. The water there is terrible! Its always warm and tastes truly terrible. So we started buying bottled water from Costco. for a 32 pack its only $4, so the price isn't an issue but i still think about the energy wasted on the production and where the plastic we recycle ends up. What do you think of this video? Do you drink bottled water?

Squaw Valley Powder Video
This is my favorite mountain, Squaw Valley (http://www.squaw.com/)! It has challenging terrain, lots of trees, a variety of runs, many high-speed chairlifts, and it like a second home to me. I love Squaw! I've skied at Sugar Bowl (http://www.sugarbowl.com/home), Northstar (http://www.northstarattahoe.com/), Alpine Meadows (http://www.skialpine.com/), Mammoth (not a lot), Boreal (I don't actually consider this a mountain), and Squaw and just the mountain for me. Do you ski? Snowboard? Where at? Why do you go there?

What are the best hobbies?
Personally, I love skiing and music. During the winter and spring, I ski every weekend, and sometimes even several weekdays. Its great exercise, exhilarating, and a great way to connect with nature. I live in a very outdoorsy area and most people do lots of skiing in the winter, so its a great thing to do with friends or family. As for music, my dad, sister, and I have a real passion for it. Every weekend we find new artists, and we go to see lots of live music. Its a really good way to express yourself, and fun too. We subscribe to Rolling Stone magazine, it's a great way to find new people in the music industry, read movie reviews, and hear about whats going on in the world. What are you into? Hobbies? Sports? Why do you think they are the best?
